Wireless Access using Eduroam

Summary

The secure world-wide internet connectivity service, eduroam, allows students, faculty, staff, and guests from participating institutions to connect securely to the internet. Using your Clinton Community College credentials, you can obtain secure internet access while on campus, as well as other participating institutions and locations across the U.S. that support Eduroam.

Where to find Participating Locations

Clinton Community College is an Eduroam location, as well as the neighboring university, SUNY Plattsburgh. How To Connect

Follow these general steps to connect to eduroam location site, using your computer or mobile devices:

  1. On your Internet enabled device, open the Wi-Fi settings.
  2. In the list of available networks, select the "eduroam" network.
  3. When prompted for your username and password:
    • For username, enter your Clinton username.
      • Students: FirstnameMiddleinitialLastname@clinton.edu (E.g. - JohnHDoe@clinton.edu)
      • Faculty & Staff: FirstName.LastName@clinton.edu (E.g. - John.Doe@clinton.edu)
    • For password, enter your current Clinton Community College password.
  4. You may be prompted to accept a security certificate the first time you log into an eduroam network.
    • You will need to accept the security certificate to connect to the eduroam network.

Once your device is successfully configured and connected to the eduroam wireless network, it should connect automatically when you select the eduroam wireless signal at all participating institutions.
